EL POEMA MÁS BELLO DEL MUNDO
Ediciones Nobel continúa la búsqueda utópica del mejor poema escrito en
cualquier lengua del mundo. Mantenemos así un año más vivo en autores de todo
el mundo el recuerdo del ilustrado español que engrandeció con su vida, obra y
pensamiento a la humanidad entera, y entre cuya memorable obra escrita también
tuvo su lugar la poesía. Convencidos de que todos los sueños se cumplen si no
se renuncia a perseguirlos, queremos hacer realidad la sugestiva utopía de
encontrar cada año “el mejor poema del mundo” para recordar al ilustre Gaspar
Melchor de Jovellanos, rendir homenaje a su autor y difundirlo por todos los
medios para que la voz de los poetas ilumine los días en que la noche no deje
paso a la luz, para que sus palabras sean una antorcha sobre la tierra oscura.

Artículo 1. EDICIONES NOBEL abre el plazo de recepción de
candidaturas para el III PREMIO INTERNACIONAL DE POESÍA JOVELLANOS, EL MEJOR
POEMA DEL MUNDO, al que podrán presentarse autores de cualquier país y lengua,
conforme a los requisitos que se especifican en estas bases. El plazo
permanecerá abierto hasta las 24 horas (GMT+1. Hora de Madrid.) del próximo día
15 de enero de 2016, no admitiéndose a concurso ninguna obra fuera de dicho
plazo.
Artículo 2. Cada autor podrá enviar un solo poema al
concurso de temática y extensión libres. No se admite el envío de poemarios.
Artículo 3. No podrán tomar parte en esta convocatoria los
ganadores de ediciones anteriores.
Artículo 4. Los poemas habrán de ser originales e inéditos y
deberán portar un título. Podrán estar escritos en cualquier idioma.
Artículo 5. Para poder participar, todas las candidaturas
deberán registrarse en la página web http://poesia.premiojovellanos.com dentro
del apartado ‘Inscripción’. Se deberán rellenar todos los campos del formulario
donde habrá también que adjuntar el poema en formato Word, PDF o similares. No
podrán remitirse poemas en papel. En ese caso, Ediciones Nobel no se compromete
a conservarlos ni a devolverlos a sus autores. » Premio Internacional de Poesía

Artículo 6. El jurado, seleccionado por la dirección de
EDICIONES NOBEL y de Clarín, Revista de nueva literatura, elegirá el poema
ganador y una selección de poemas finalistas que se editarán bajo el título ‘El
mejor poema del mundo’. Ganador y finalistas ceden con carácter no exclusivo a
EDICIONES NOBEL los derechos de reproducción de su obra.
Artículo 7. El poema ganador será leído en el acto de
entrega del Premio Internacional de Ensayo Jovellanos, que cada año se celebra
en la ciudad de Gijón, Principado de Asturias, España.
Artículo 8. El premio al único ganador consta de un diploma
acreditativo y una dotación económica de dos mil euros (2.000 €). Los
finalistas seleccionados por el Jurado aparecerán junto al poema premiado en el
libro que Ediciones Nobel publicará en la fecha que estime oportuna según sus
intereses editoriales. Los finalistas una vez seleccionados no podrán solicitar
a la editorial la retirada de su poema de la edición del libro.
Artículo 9. Tanto el autor del poema premiado como los
finalistas renuncian expresamente a los derechos de autor que se devenguen por
las ventas de la obra. Los beneficios serán donados a una entidad benéfica o
cultural a determinar por la editorial.
Artículo 10. El premio podrá ser declarado desierto si el
jurado, cuya decisión será inapelable, considerase que ninguna de las obras
presentadas re- úne la debida calidad.
Artículo 11. Los poemas serán publicados en su versión
original junto a una traducción al español.
Artículo 12. La interpretación de estas bases corresponderá
a Ediciones Nobel. La participación supone la aceptación completa de las
mismas.

continuing its utopian search for the best poem written in any language of the
world. In this endeavour, for another year, we can keep the memory of this
enlightened Spaniard alive within authors throughout the world. His life, works
and thought aggrandised the whole of humanity, and within his memorable written
works poetry also had its place. Convinced that all dreams can be fulfilled as
long as one doesn’t give up on them, we wish to bring into reality the
suggestive utopia of finding each year “the best poem in the world” so as to
remember the illustrious Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos, pay tribute to its
author and diffuse it through all means, so that the voice of the poets can
illuminate those days that the night does not let light pass, so that their
words can be a beacon over the dark earth.
ANNOUNCEMENT
RULES
Article 1.
EDICIONES NOBEL has opened its submission period for the III JOVELLANOS
INTERNATIONAL POETRY PRIZE, THE BEST POEM IN THE WORLD. Authors from any
country, in any language, can participate in accordance with the requirements
specified herein. The period will remain open until 24:00 hours (GMT+1. Madrid

Only one poem per author can be submitted to this contest. Its theme and length
are unrestricted. Poetry collections will not be admitted.
Article 3.
The winners of the previous edition cannot participate in this event.
Article 4.
Poems must be original, unpublished and titled. They can be written in any
language.
Article 5.
To participate, candidates must register at http://poesia. premiojovellanos.com
in the ‘Inscription’ section. All fields in the form must be filled in. The
poem should also be attached in Word, PDF or similar formats. Poems on paper
will not be accepted. This being the case, Ediciones Nobel will not take
responsibility for their custody or return them to the authors. » Premio

Article 6. The
jury, selected by EDICIONES NOBEL’s management and the new literature journal,
Clarín, will choose the winning poem and a selection of finalist poems, which
shall be published under the title ‘The best poem in the world’. The winner and
the finalists grant EDICIONES NOBEL the rights to reproduce their works. » Premio

Article 7. The
winning poem shall be read out at the Jovellanos Internati onal Essay Prize
awards ceremony, which is held every year in the city of Gijón ,
Principality of Asturias, Spain
Article 8.
The prize for the sole winner consists of an accrediting diploma and a cash sum
of two thousand euros (€ 2000). The finalists selected by the Jury will appear
together with the winning poem in the book that Ediciones Nobel will publish
when it seesfit, according to its editorial interests. Once the finalists are
chosen they will not be able to request the publishing house to withdraw their
poem from the editi ng of the book.
Article 9.
The winning author and the finalists expressly forgo any royalties that may
accrue from the sale of their works. The proceeds shall be donated to a
charitable or cultural organisation designated by the publisher.
Article 10.
The prize can be declared void if the jury, whose decision is final, considers
that none of the submitt ed works is of suffi cient quality.
Article 11.
The poems shall be published in their original versions together with the
authors’ Spanish translations.
Article 12.
Interpretation of these rules corresponds solely to Ediciones Nobel.
